Preparation + Opportunity = Success!
After being fixated on one career path for nearly two decades, I decided to go back to school to earn my college degree in elementary education. I saw there was a demand for male elementary school teachers, and possibly an overall teacher shortage coming soon as baby boomers begin to retire. However, what made it an even greater decision… is the fact that I did it at the outset of a major economic recession. Currently, the U.S. unemployment rate is a much lower 4.5% for those who hold a college degree. Does that mean success for everyone? No. Nevertheless, I suggest you remember this friendly piece of advice, I truly believe… “success occurs when preparation meets opportunity.” Simply put, you will have your share of opportunities in life… the only question is, will you be prepared? Opportunity for success is coming your way soon… be prepared!

iPhone 4… No Complaints!

Steve Jobs discusses iPhone 4 antenna issue and plans to resolve the problem by compensating consumers with a phone case at no charge and software update.
I am one of the nearly 3-million consumers who lined up on June 24th to be one of the first to get their hands on the latest Steve Jobs creation from Apple, the iPhone 4.
First, I didn’t wait in line or camp-out for hours waiting for it either, rather I pre-ordered the phone a week or so in advance and with that reservation managed to get in and out of the store within two-hours. I was off and running with my new iPhone 4 enjoying all the features everyone that cares enough is already familiar about. No complaints.
Then reports starting surfacing of an antenna or cellular reception issue or maybe some kind of discrepancy in the signal or displaying incorrect bars on the iPhone, whatever was it wasn’t happening to my phone. Once again, no complaints.
Although, complaints by other iPhone customers and testing by the leading watchdog Consumer Reports led me to believe other iPhone 4 recipients were legitimately plagued by this antenna issue, which involved holding the phone’s medal antenna that wraps around the phone quote the “wrong way.” Since I usually do things the right way, I tried holding the iPhone 4 the wrong way, which was holding it with the left hand, which is wrong for me because I’m a righty, but still no issues with the strength of the bars and signal of my Phone. No complaints.
Steve Jobs offered everyone who purchases an iPhone before September 30, 2010 a bumper case or a select third-party phone case at no charge. Well, just so happens I could use a case for my iPhone 4, so I think I’ll take Steve up on that offer with no complaints. Now had I been left handed, I think I may of had a case, uh, I mean complaint.
